Hi there! I’m Chelsea.

I’m a Registered Dietitian, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and hold a master’s degree in Nutrition and Integrative Physiology. As my approach to wellness has shifted, I’ve learned the importance of exploring (and perhaps, improving) one’s relationship with food, their body, and health. I now focus on supporting people as they tune back into their bodies and make sustainable shifts to nourish and support their health. I’ve spent my professional life learning about wellness and feel grateful that I now get to help others on their journeys.

A little story.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, an autoimmune disease of the gut. I was crushed to receive this life-long and life-altering diagnosis. I was put on steroids to calm the inflammation in my body and quickly gained 30 pounds. Despite my best efforts (I was a dietitian, after all!), cutting calories and working out didn’t lead to weight loss. The more I tried to control, the more weight I seemed to gain.

At some point, I surrendered. I gave up control and shifted my perspective. I focused on nourishing my body and fueling it with real, whole foods. I stopped counting calories and tuned in to my body before pushing it through grueling workouts. I spent more time in nature, hiking with my pup. As the inflammation in my body calmed and my body began to feel safe, my weight returned back to my baseline.

This experience fundamentally shaped how I view health, wellness, and weight loss. I realized our bodies are impacted by so much more than the food we eat - inflammation, sleep, movement, relationships, stress (and more!) all play a role. I also started to get curious about how our nervous system and mental health influence our physical health. Yes, it truly is all connected.

This may come as good news to some of you! I sure hope it does. For others, this may be a huge paradigm shift. The “health” industry is largely focused on weight loss over true health. Wherever you are starting. Whatever your goals are. Just know that you are right where you are supposed to be, and I’m glad you’ve found this little corner of the internet.

My wellness philosophy.

  • I believe in gentle nutrition and nourishing our bodies with real, whole foods

  • I believe in slowing down, resting, and taking time to tune into what we need

  • I believe in the power of connection, sunlight, and regulating our nervous systems

  • I believe that true wellness encompasses our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health (yes, they are all intertwined!)

  • I believe we each have a unique path to health and that coaching should be tailored to you and your needs

  • I believe that health is more than how clean we eat, how many miles we run, or what the number on the scale says

Nourishing mind, body, and spirit.
